NJ Land Title Association Opposes Senate Bill S2229
|

 |
Today, many New Jersey title companies interpret the current state regulated fee schedules in their favor. The result is that the
consumer pays the maximum number of fees and the maximum amount allowable on each of those fees.
NJ Senate Bill 2229 is scheduled for debate by the Senate Commerce Committee in the next legislative term. If passed, this bill will
bring clarity to title insurance companies and agents regarding how fees may be adjusted on behalf of the consumer.
Greg Schmidt, myClosingSPACE.com CEO says, "New Jersey already has the highest home prices and property taxes. The state does not
need an award for the highest title services to go with it". The primary goal of myClosingSPACE.com is to provide cost effective
title services directly to the consumer.
